There have been some significant changes to the Repreez line-up recently. PJ, our singer, decided to move house away from our rehearsal area and has now left the band. PJ has driven the band's musical direction since he joined and we will miss him. We are now looking for a new front person - check our requirements here
George, the founder of the band and our rhythm guitarist, has also decided to move on as he has set his sights on playing with a more mainstream function band. he has always admitted that he was no great fan of our brand of country pop and we had reached what seemed to be an appropriate time for him to go. George has always been the organiser and "fixer" and we are certainly going to miss his enthusiasm and hard work behind the scenes.
At the moment, the lineup remains Alby on rhythm, Pete on lead, Tony on drums and Geoff on bass.
We are all very determined that Repreez will continue and the the fundamentals of the band will not change - we'll enjoy the music, have fun playing it and try to make sure every appearance produces the best performance we can give.
Read about our day in the studio here
Our big news at the moment is that we are going into the studio to record a demo cd. We have been working hard on refining four or five tracks which we hope to lay down in a one-day session. We may run out of time before we have recorded them all though.
Because we don't have much of a history as a band, everyone we approach for bookings is asking for a demo, so that's why we're doing it. Hopefully, we'll be able to put some sample tracks here on the site for download.
The studio is booked for October 26. We'll take some pics and post them here after the event.
